Good afternoon, as you are aware yesterday we were put into another National Lockdown, this was something that we were made aware of at the same time as you. As explained by the government, we will be moving to remote learning. Please see the attached timetables for remote learning to take place from tomorrow. We will be in touch with further communication regarding key worker/vulnerable children and support with ICT equipment.

January Lockdown
As I am sure you are aware, this evening the Prime Minister announced that the country will be going back into national lockdown.
This means that from tomorrow morning the academy will only be open for children of key workers and to vulnerable pupils until at least the February half-term break. All other children will continue their learning at home during this time. We will be in touch tomorrow with further detail on how this will work.
Please find attached our letter outlining the particular changes in respect of the January Lockdown, we will of course continue to communicate with you.
January Opening
As you will have seen in the media, there has been a lot of discussion around whether primary schools should open as planned for the Spring Term. We are following the advice of national government and local partners, and ensuring that our preparations for next week are in line with this.
As a result, please see our attached letter outlining particular changes to our January Opening.
If your child tests positive for Covid 19 between Saturday 19th and Thursday 24th December can we ask that you please contact the school in the following way: via parent app or admin@astreawaverley.org.
Please leave the name of your child and the class they are in stating the date on which a positive test has be confirmed and any other information you have been given by Public Health England.
We will then contact your child’s bubble to inform of the positive test and the need to self-isolate. We will do this through Parent app.
We are extremely looking forward to welcoming all our pupils back in September 2020.
